About Me
I love working with fellow fat folks navigating their relationships to their bodies and the systemic harm that comes with being in a large body. I also specialize in eating disorders, neurodivergence, perfectionism, people pleasing, and anxiety. I adore working with teens navigating anything from school stress to self-harm. I have a background in spiritually-informed therapy and eco-therapy, so I can also help folks build a deeper connection to the earth, or just incorporate nature into other work we do!
My Ideal Client
I work with individuals from 12+ up. I especially love working with:
Fat folks working to build better relationships with their bodies;
People struggling with eating disorders;
Neurodivergent women and non-binary individuals figuring out how to exist with said neurodivergence;
Young adults navigating the transition from adolescence to adulthood;
Fawners, people-pleasers, and perfectionists;
Teens of all varieties!

Working with Me
I am a person-centered, psychodynamic therapist. This basically means I want to delve deep into your story, and believe that therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist. I may have the therapeutic expertise, but you are the expert on you! In session, I want you to feel safe, heard, and gently challenged when appropriate, while also holding space for joy and laughter. My theoretical background is feminist, so I have a strong understanding of systemic issues and their effects on mental health. I also do a lot of work with mindfulness, breath and the body, so it's very likely we will end sessions with a grounding exercise or body scan.
My Experience
Canadian Certified Counsellor #11255534
When I'm not at YEG FC...
I am an active member in the improv and clowning community in Edmonton, so you'll often see me in class, on stage, volunteering, or running a jam of my own. I take any chance I can to play and have a good laugh! I also adore nature (something I often bring into my practice) so if I'm not home I'm likely in the woods somewhere smelling a wild rose or listening to a bird sing while trying to avoid getting eaten by mosquitos. I am a big movie person as well, so you might find me at the Metro supporting local small cinema, or watching a horror movie at home with my friends, some top-tier snacks and a blanket to hide behind if things get too intense!
