About Me

I am a Masters-Level Mental Health Therapy Intern who enjoys working with anyone who is looking for support. I especially love working with children, youth and families, and have experience working with neurodivergent children. I really like helping children and youth navigate and understand their emotional experiences as well as their relationships with others and themselves.

My Ideal Client

I work with kids (4+), youth, families, couples, and individuals. I especially love working with:

  • Kids and youth working on emotional regulation, anxiety, and connection with others.

  • Families, especially focusing on the parent-child relationship.

  • Neurodiverse children, youth, and adults,

  • Neurodiverse families.

Working with Me

I strive to provide a warm, safe, and welcoming space for all people to express themselves, ask questions, and take time to work through experiences. My approach is laid back and playful, fuelled by curiosity and a desire to get to know you. I value relationships and look forward to learning about the people in your life. Sessions may involve sitting across from one another and talking, or we might play a game or draw while we chat - whatever feels most comfortable to you.

In more formal language, I work from a person-centred approach with a focus on attachment theory. This means that I believe you are the expert on you and value the importance of relationships in how we develop as children and relate to others and ourselves throughout our lives. We can decide together how directive you would like our sessions to be.

My Experience

  • Certified Music Therapist (MTA) #0984

  • Student Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy #11262968

  • Bachelor of Music Therapy (Capilano University)

  • Experience working with neurodivergent children

When I'm not at YEG FC...

I am most likely playing outside with my partner and energetic toddler! I love being outside and spend as much time in nature as possible. I especially love cold weather and dream of snow all year round. When I get a chance to sit down, I dive into magical novels, play guitar, or pick up a half-finished craft project (there are always a few to choose from).

You got this. And we can help.
