About Me
I am a graduate student completing my counselling practicum with YEG Family Counselling. I am excited to work with a variety of individuals, couples, and families while learning more about how to help them achieve their goals.
My Ideal Client
I work with individuals, couples, and families whose members are all over 10 years old. I especially love working with:
Teens and young adults struggling with identity and change
Client who are going through life transitions and are unsure of where they fit in
Clients struggling with anxiety or grief
Client suffering from insomnia
Working with Me
I was drawn to psychology because of my deeply held believe that every person has unique strengths that can be used to set and achieve their goals. My style is collaborative and relaxed, with lots of questions and concrete planning. My tendency is to trust that most feelings, thoughts, and behaviours develop as necessary coping skills which can sometimes stay in place longer than they are needed. Exploring these in session is one way to recognize when those coping skills are no longer effective, and what other healthier ways of coping could come into play. Most of all, I hope to help my clients gain confidence in their own ability to heal.

When I'm not at YEG FC...
I live with my partner and two dogs named Ginny & Clark. I enjoy beinga active with running, cycling, and playing most sports. In the summer, you can find me on a golf course or exploring Edmonton's trail system. In the winter, I enjoy curling, playing games with friends, or watching movies at home. I also love to travel (especially via road trip), learn useless trivia, and build puzzles.
